i checked to see if i had turned it off somehow, however, typing "lxpanelctl
run" into terminal does absolutely nothing - n
i noticed that killing lxpanel and starting a vanilla session "solves"
the problem, so it probably lies in configuration. it's probably still
worth checking if it's something i've done, or a problem within some
default config file.

I've noticed something simmilar on Kubuntu 10.04 with "evdev" driver and
KHotkeys enabled on both KDE 4.4.x and 4.5.x.
In my case there's blocking of up arrow key and sometimes shift signal stucks
so I type only big letters and !...@#$%^... instead of numbers. Keyboard works
properly and I've t

Microsoft keyboard. When using different keyboard driver with khotkeys
or disable khotkeys with evdev the problem disappears. Please try to

Tormod, is there any chance to have aufs.ko module in Kernel Mainline
PPA kernels? I wanted to test if 2.6.36-rc7 solved the problem on my
machine, too on remastered (with xorg-edgers/radeon ppa) Kubuntu 10.10
pendrive but unfortunately I need aufs.ko module in initrd at boot which
is not included

/dev/sdaX was where / and swap were set up, the fstab file listed the /

I initially got this error on my laptop (DELL inspiron mini 1012) when
testing the Maverick RC, but I guessed that it was related to an Intel
video driver issue. Upon installing Maverick on my desktop, the audio is
