I do have very similar issues. I am running Intrepid and first I
installed wine 1.0.1. The one that ships with 8.10. Games undert wine
had good audio quality. Now I switched to wine 1.1.8 from winehq to
address some bugs I ran into. Now all of a sudden sound is crackling and

same. I am unable to install lots plugins which renders Eclipse useless
to me. For example here is the error I get when trying to install
Eclipse Web Developer Tools from

Now how stupid was that just copy&pasted the site from my existing Eclipse
installation into the new one without thinking. Of course it works once I
changed it to the Galileo update site.

Same here. Skype was working just fine the other day and now it is
