Apparantly there's a way around this bug. I was reading the Bugzilla bug
report and it seems that this bug only occurs with databases created
with previous versions of Banshee (before 2.2.1), eg. if you create a
clean database this bug no longer occurs. See comment #35.

If Verbatim Store'n'Go Pinstripe USB drive is mounted before starting
gParted, gParted crashes after starting to scan for devices. If gParted
is started before mounting the stick, everything works fine until you
ask gParted to refresh devices at w

drive after I took it out of the box.

I agree, the problem was in the original formating of the drive.
I had to use the -z option with cfdisk to disregard the drive geometry
in order to not get a fatal error closing the program right after it
started. The error I got without -z option was 'FATAL ERROR: Bad primary
partition' and after
I found the second USB drive and it crashes gParted similarly to the
first one.

No, I don't have Library Watcher enabled. This seems to happen

succesfully finishes on a drive it will not scan that drive again (or at

Banshee (sometimes) freezes on start

Binary package hint: evolution
I wanted to check my mail before logging out and I clicked on the
Send/Receive button. But instead of getting new messages, I lost most of
my messages in the inbox. Before there was 100 messages and after the
error only 15. Before installing 10.
