I find it hard enough managing my tens of users on an LTSP system using
this tool without proper sorting, it must be a nightmare with hundreds!
I believe this issue should receive a higher priority. Clicking on
column headings to change the sort order is just expected behaviour
these days.

For me, changing the settings with kernel 2.6.27-7-generic has no effect
- the 'echo' to /sys/devices/platform/tc1100-wmi/jogdial or /wireless
works, but 'cat' reveals no change (the values are always 0), wireless
stays on, brightness stays un-adjustable.

OK, it happens with all the wallpapers I have tried, whenever 'zoom' is
set using only the external screen, including the default Hardy Heron
background. You have to start ume-launcher, or change the screen
resolution, with the background already in place to see the effect -

Just to clear up any confusion and speculation, LTSP in Ubuntu uses LDM
for the terminal sessions by default, but earlier versions used to use
GDM via XDMCP from the terminals and it can still be configured do so.
This suits slower, older terminals. LTSP addresses a different need to
XDMCP and both

I have found that installing pavucontrol and then using that to unlock
and set the input levels from the internal microphone so that one
channel is maxed and the other zeroed allows the internal mic to work
with Skype! Nothing ever plugged in to the mic socket. I read this
suggestion somewhere else
