Ok, so they seem to appear when you enable CTL and disappear when you disable

There is no way to force them to appear or disappear other than
activating/disactivating CTL.

uses the host /etc/apt/apt.conf to get the proxy settings.
But when doing the "apt-get update" inside the chroot, it doesn't work as the

NetworkManager seems to be disabled if /etc/network/interfaces has any settings
set for one of the interfaces.
I think it's to be able to set custom settings but in some case can become a
problem (just like now after an update).

Simply rebuilding libopal caused segfauls here (when doing a SIP call)
I have rebuilt both libopal and ekiga, test packages are available in my PPA:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/stgraber/ubuntu gutsy main restricted universe
multiverse
It's simply a rebuild of libopal, then a rebuild of ekiga us

For uvc testing you may want to use the luvcview software (you have to compile
it by hand though) which I use to test my QuickCam sphere.
