Responding to Sami Haahtinen, I can confirm this bug occurs on my
system, which is a T43p with exact same storage device hackery - PATA

Added an attachment of hubackup's device detector code. Just save it in
a folder, chmod 755 the file and execute it. If you have a CDRW or DVRW
or a USB disk attached to the system you should see a listing showing
them as entries.

this requires minor modifications and the backend level, but do require
a substantial modification on the GUI level. In order to make it easy to
do this, the UI would grow a button "Exclude" or so, and would pop up a
preselected items list that would already include some smart guessed
files/folders
ofcourse this should, in the grand view of things, be another special
case of the genral infa that should be in place of white and black list,
and should ofcourse remember user's choices and possibly "learn" his
backup habits.

args are passed to dar. This is now more robust and secure, I'll

assumptions, that have been proven to be wrong. This is supposed to be
fixed in the edgy version though. (there's actually a completely revampd
GUI approach that reduced the amount of work hubackup n

still sort of alpha quality and I'm actively working on it as we speak.

reported by hal, which breaks DeviceInfo.py.
