I haven't got around to moving to Intrepid yet. I think this happened on
a Swiss rental DVD where the "first" language was German and the DVD
also had English (which was my language setting). My guess was that it
was simply selecting the first language. I will have to try renting
again after moving
Compiz does not seem to be respecting the initiate condition for
viewport switching with a touchpad. It it supposed to be button2
(middle?) by default. I don't know what this means for the touchpad, but
if I add the Control key modifier I still see the viewport switching

I patch /usr/lib/firefox-addons/searchplugins/google.xml but it has to
be re-done after every upgrade. I think this should be the default
distributed version, and that another param could be added using "lr"
for language - I haven't tested if there is a {moz:lang} or similar.

Have since confirmed this bug on another machine. Unfortunately I am
unable to remember the details and exact configuration but the installer
required manual intervention to get grub installed properly, and then
boot configuration editing to boot successfully. Windows partition
doesn't boot at all.
Lutz and Marcos: would be helpful to know which version you are using
(of Java/of Azureus) and see the crash log specified in the report you
got. Lutz, also which version are you using from the website - the same
one or the latest?

Indeed, getting Azureus from SourceForge often seems to resolve
problems.
However, there is also confusion amongst different bugs, which I have
being trying to clean up. "It doesn't start" is not particularly helpful
and confuses separate causes. It is unclear whether the SourceForge

I should add that my earlier comment was wrong to advise running under
GCJ as a workaround - this will indeed fix the problem with crashing on
startup when there is an informational message to be displayed (without
having to delete the logs), but as some people are reporting Azureus
then crashes ra

seen that it doesn't happen as badly with smaller terminal windows, and

It seems to me quite clear that waking up on keyboard/mouse is pretty
standard behaviour. More generally, options for power management are
very limited (I've often gone to the power options and thought... "wow,
that's it? can't fix it here then"). So on the policy issue I'm
suggesting wake on kb/mo
I can't remember the context from 6 years ago. I believe there was
nothing unsupported about it; trying to build a package for a non-host
architecture. debhelper not actually building all when told to made this
harder, and especially harder to automate.

Prior to 16.10, I always disabled module-suspend-on-idle in
/etc/pulse/default.pa. With it enabled (the default), I often lose the
