fact that your computer is brand new does not mean that the drive is

Unfortunaltely, I confirm Pete Graner comment. My solution finally does
not work at each boot.

I just tested intrepid synaptic and this bug is not reproducible under
intrepid. Setting to fix released.

I just got a screen corruption too with intrepid with my Dell laptop,
this is the first time on ~20 boot with intrepid that I see such
phenomenon.

I can't reproduce this bug with a up-to-date Hardy and Intrepid alpha 1
so I set the status of this bug report to fix released. However, if you
can still reproduce this bug with hardy, please set back the status to

I can't reproduce this issue anymore in hardy LTS and intrepid so I set
the status to fix released. However, if you can still reproduce it with
hardy or intrepid, please set back the status of the bug report to new.

Thanks for your bug report. Even if the idea is not bad at all, the
implementation of such ideas completely depends on gnucash developers.

usplash needs to probe good resolution automatically at boot. When bug
