I'm having this issue as well. The UI will also let me type in a custom
NTP server, and appears like it will work, but the setting does not
persist. It is interesting however, that it WILL set the time once this
way. Attached is what the UI looks like when I set the time using a
custom ntp serve
Looking closer at the messages in my screen shot, you can also notice
that the "Server" description isn't exactly correct in my case.

Sorry I didn't do that at the time, but the updmap file isn't there
anymore and running "sudo apt-get install tex-common" doesn't give me an
error (it says tex-common is already the newest version).
As an experiment I removed my tex-live installation completely and re-

Can we get this patch applied? For some reason we have users who are
now "solving" the problem by rebuilding gtk+ without the client-side-
decorations patch rather than applying the actual fix patch.

Hi,
I can provide more information on this now.
I reduced the RAM sizes of the two guests and, with these sysctl settings, I
don't seem to get the big thrashing occurrences:
vm.overcommit_memory = 2
vm.overcommit_ratio = 10
