As can be seen from the usplash.conf file, the contents there set a
resolution of 1024x768 and this is right with the monitor (this is my
old monitor, which I used with an intel 865G before, without any

It seems that I'm seeing this bug with Lucid's CD as of today. I'm
running things from the Live CD, without anything installed so far, just
to see the status quo.
I tried playing the example video from the CD (the one with the ocean
etc). It played, say, 10 seconds, stopped and then segfaulte
So, would it be possible to have this segfault fixed in time for the
release?
It is a very important fix *at* *least* for those running big endian
machines. A reply is welcome, even if only to say "no, it won't be
accepted".

Just for the record, Matthew's patch is already in Debian's unstable.
BTW, Matthew, what if we joined forces to maintain the package, forward
porting the crufty things that I have written so far and trying to get a
newer version from apple packaged?

I am planning on releasing a new version of usbmount. If you could:
* confirm that you still have problems with the most recent version of usbmount
* take a look in the git repository that I mentioned before and send me a patch
