If I put those 3 lines in /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default:

Well, I can't give a unique answer. Here are my (rather strange) results after
upgrading to gdm 2.30.2.is.2.30.0-0ubuntu1:

Here is the result of more tests to try to find what triggers this
problem:
The following factors had no effect on the problem (Ubiquity crashed each time
at the same point):
- using a different proxy (we have currently 2 in my corporate network)
- installing the 32 bit or the 64 bit version of K
We still have this problem behind our enterprise's proxy with Natty beta
2.
The proxy was set in GNOME with System --> Preferences --> Network proxy
and applied system wide.
In a terminal, here is what I can see :
$ env | grep proxy
http_proxy=http://proxyxxx.ch:80/
ftp_proxy=http://proxyxxx.ch:8

I have the same problem and it is still present with Natty beta1.
Further, selecting a small country like Switzerland on the map is close
to impossible (being able to zoom on the selected continent, in this
case Europe, may help). Strangelly, most tries in this region select
even smaller countries
Sorry, I can't help for coding but I would like to mention that I have also
this problem on Natty beta 1.
It happens only in an "Ubuntu" or "Ubuntu Classic" session, but not in an
"Ubuntu Classic (No Effects)" or "Ubuntu (Safe Mode)", I guess because compiz
is not active in the latter cases.

The crashes happen only when we declare an automatic proxy script in
