server 8.0.4 when this issue hit us with our Intel SRCU42L RAID controller.

it was sort of a mistake that that's what got into Debian sid.
Maybe this will help: as of a couple days ago, there is a mongodb-1.2
package in Debian's new pack
Evidently the debian packager has chosen to use an epoch number, rather
than a different package name, for the stable mongodb release 1.2.2.

IIUC, the next step here is to request a freeze exception. Release
managers: we (10gen) receive frequent requests for mongodb packages, and
think it'd be helpful to Ubuntu users who want to use mongodb if there
were in Lucid. Debian's accepted it; could we get it into Lucid?

I know I can work round this using the command line, but ...

I am at a loss for what to do to even Identify the problem since with
14.04 update 3.13.0-27 generic I do not even get to a screen I can do anything
with. I simply get software restarts.
I have tried several things over the weeks with no remedy.

I'm having the same type of problems with nedit in Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64.
Nedit works OK at first, then starts to malfunction - as you say, at
inopportune times!
Copy-paste by highlighting and middle-mouse click, or by menu, starts failing
to work within the same window.
Meanwhile, copy-pasting from

At least I can correct the previous comment - the mouse pointer was trapped in
the tabs area, not the menu bar.

Important here to note that rsh-redone-client does not provide rcp, whereas
rsh-client does.
So the working combination is rsh-redone-server with rsh-client.
Anything else doesn't fully work with rhosts.
