It is impossible to use the search function in OpenOffice file dialog.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch OpenOffice Writer
2. Select eg. File->Open
3. Click "Search" on top of left pane of file dialog
4. search for any doc file
5. try opening it -> crash
Happens on Hardy Heron
Also happens in file dialogs invoked for such functions as
Insert->Picture->From file...

Most IBM / Lenovo Thinkpads have hardware volume control with apropriate
buttons above the keyboard (volume up, down and mute). Gnome in Ubuntu
is configured in such a way, that the keypresses are trapped (this is
correct), apropriate volume window is displayed (correct) and G
Confirming the same happening on Thinkpad T42 (ATI Radeon 7500). Desktop
locks up, usually with just mouse cursor moving (and some visual
artifacts on top of the screen). I noticed however, that usually it is
possible to put the keyboard in raw mode (Alt-SysRq-R) and then switch
to a text console (
I am using Mobility Radeon 7500 (in built card in Thinkpad T42), open
source driver. So far 2 freezes on Gutsy. Definitely happens not
frequently, so this might be a very difficult thing to track...

Yes, happens here (Gutsy) too - see attached image. BTW - A screen
refresh (eg. VT switch and back to X) redraws the icon.

Hmmm, I agree with Khashayar Naderehvandi. Lack of tracker integration
in Hardy is basically a regression for me!!! So - is there any way of
restoring previous (as per Gutsy) functionality?

I have the same problem - but connecting to WPA Personal (using
atheros). NM asks for a password after every reboot. It seems also that
the keyring configuration is somehow broken. In keyring manager an entry
related to nm-applet seem to unnamed (see attached screenshot). BTW -
