Actually, script works right, but only when modem is as major device. It
doesn't look for modems as subdevices of cards. For that,
/proc/asound/cards won't show you any information, but aplay -l will.

I still experience this problem when I have static configuration in
g-s-t. Seemingly then NetworkManager thinks that it doesn't handle this
connection and therefore it isn't active. Of course I can dig connection
info from g-s-t, but it is two clicks versus approximately five plus
entering password
I tested deb provided by hyperair (big thanks) and however it has wrong
depencies (cairo2 version doesn't fit with Hardy), but --force-all
cures/b0rks any problems :) Anyway, it would be strange if cairo would
affect this :)

with requests, but James Westby promised to take a look at it tomorrow,
so probably best is just test your deb till death and provide test

I can add additional scenario to this. As Islam pointed out, error

As side note, on another partition on *same* machine doing dist-upgrade
right to newest updates didn't introduce this bug, so could be just some
configuration/file annoyance which are usually introduced in alpha
stages. Seems like not to be general issue, so it can be marked
'invalid'.

This bug is gone with newest updates, thanks. Now FF 3.0 looks nice with
huge screen/dpi.

Properly configured Xorg with Ubuntu fglrx package worked before. After
13.03.2008 updates screen goes blank after starting gdm. Xorg.0.log shows no
error messages, but are incomplete. Syslog shows more interesting details:

Actual results: Authorize password usage dialog appears, is highlighted,
but not focused, giving impression to user that Evolution "has hanged".

Ok, I forgot important factor - Desktop Effects must be enabled. Without
them, this dialog behaves without this glitch.
