Same problem here, klipper uses 100% CPU on Jaunty 64bit.
I believe I have some more information. After installing kde4libs-dbg, I get
more information about the stack when I debug the running klipper process:

As a workaround, I have renamed /usr/share/kde4/config/klipperrc to
klipperrc.off. After I did this, klipper starts again. However, it has
no actions defined, and all settings from klipperrc are gone, of course.

Apparently, the problem is in the last line of
/usr/share/kde4/config/klipperrc, which looks like:

When I remove that line, klipper starts without any problems.

I have this experience after upgrading to jaunty. Opening gthumb, saving
or deleting an image in gthumb is extremely slowly (about 30 sec). After
tracker-processes -r speed is fine (less than 1 sec)...
Is this fix already active in jaunty?

It is actually very simple to compile OpenMPI manually on Ubuntu, so if
you need it only on a few machines, this probably the easiest
workaround.
I have only very limited experience with Ubuntu packaging, and OpenMPI
seems to be a package imported from Debian, so I don't really dare to

Apparently, this is due to a bug in rsibreak-0.9.0-beta3, as the author
describes on his homepage http://www.rsibreak.org/ . A new, bugfixed
version is out, so all that needs to be done is to update the package.

The rsibreak package already has been updated in the "rsibreak" package:

I can confirm this behaviour. It is very confusing: When I type "physics"
instead of "physic", I get a useful list as well, but "physic" gives a useful
list very shortly, that disappears after a fraction of a second.
I would believe that this bug is somehow related to bug #280747, where the
