Ubuntu 15.04 on a Lenovo T450s.
As with the other users attempting to boot puts you into the decrypt
screen with a nice empty password box, but keyboard strokes do not
appear to register, as if the decryption password had not

I marked this as invalid for unar and added it as affecting gnustep-base
package in Ubuntu. The only relation to unar is that is the package that
pulls in the dependency. No real way to fix the problem from there.

One and am happy to report that the bug is fixed. The battery indicator
now correctly switches from fully-charged Power to Battery when the
power is removed.

I experience this with a HP Stream 13 and a clean 14.10 install. I tried
the 60-persistent-storage.rules in #16, but they did not fix the
problem, which I saw about 15 seconds into startup on dmesg.
It may have reduced the occurrences as I only saw it happen once.
Kernel is 3.16.0-23-generic #31-
So getting a systemd-inhibit (works on all logind systems) delay lock on
the shutdown action seems to be a good way to do this, no?

Can you clarify? What I am hearing is that the job is alive, but the
process is dead. initctl stop salt-master does not work because the
process is not actually running. Perhaps if Upstart tries to stop a job,
and the process is not running, that job can be considered
stopped/killed.

Unfortunately I haven't managed to reproduce the bug so far. The system behaves
somewhat unpredictable when it is woken up. It may work fine, the next time it
may do the thing with the black screen and not responding. Last time it was the
failure of the touchpad.

I'm guessing that xrandr is assuming NTSC as the default output mode and

I can confirm the existence of this bug in the Ubuntu 11.10 based
distribution Mint 12 (Lisa) under Gnome 3.2 (with the Mint Gnome Shell
Extensions), even with all the latest updates installed.
I read something about a patch some time ago, there it was about Ubuntu
11.04 I think.
