Hello, anybody? doesn't anybody have this problem?
I did purge to NM reboot restored all files modified by pppoeconf, rebooted
again, installed NM, rebooted, and nothing happened, even doesn't allow me to
create system connection, an when i execute sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager

i've just found the problem, it's coming from GDM, and to be more precise, when
it is being installed and set, it doesn't check the key in gconf to use
background in default!!!
/apps/gdm/settings-manager-plugins/background/active
and this key is set to FALSE by default ;)

if you wanna recreate it, just uncheck this key and restart X, and you
will see ;)

It's not from the adblock extension. I had this problem before enable it
and i think it is something wrong with libwebkit ot libjpeg/png, because
these are images. strange, this appears in chromium too, but not in

it seems to be like nvidia's drivers, it's happen the same here
yesterday, so just revert to vesa or remove xorg.conf (back it up before
removing it) and restart it, sadly you won't have compiz, but you will
have X ;)

I was thinking the same, but to me, it will be possible only when they
make their open-source Linux client. Until then the only way to do that
is to decompile the binary, put the new icons and compile it again, BUT
it will be against their EULA, so just wait for our open-source client.

here is my sysctl.conf and as you see it's tweaked up to 100 000
fs.file-max = 10
but it doesn't matter if it is 65536 or 10 or more, it just don't work to
me. If you know some other way to tweak it, tell me, please :)

Hi, open your sources.list file sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list and find that
line, which is reported as duplicate.
You probably have it twice in this sources.list, or have it once in
/etc/apt/sources.list as a line and onceagain, but in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
like a partner-channel or so. So
the same is happening to me with mplayer and gnome-mplayer, but not with totem
or gloobus-preview.
