This is a critical bug (totally prevents evolution from working, if

The cam seems to be recognized, but when I try to use it in Ekiga, all I
get is a flickering pink/green screen.
I've tried CamStream, and I discovered that I could actually see a
pink/green semblance of myself if I set it to CIF (352x288).

Intrepid Ibex (fresh install, keeping my /home/), and cheese says it
doesn't detect any webcams.

Creative Labs Webcam Plus (Model PD0040) doesn't work out of

Ok, it seems to be fixed.
After the fresh install, it still wasn't working with my father's
account, but this time it worked with a fresh user, so I assumed it was
somewhere in a config file in my father's home.
I simply deleted the whole ~/.sane folder, and launched xsane again. I
had done that
