Ok, it seems to be fixed. After the fresh install, it still wasn't working with my father's account, but this time it worked with a fresh user, so I assumed it was somewhere in a config file in my father's home.
I simply deleted the whole ~/.sane folder, and launched xsane again. I had done that previously, to no avail. And this time, it worked ! I would say thanks, but since nobody ever answered me nor asked for more info FOR 2 WHOLE YEARS, while I offered to help solving this problem, it feels somewhat inappropriate to thank anyone (except the stock answer who made me check again). Anyway, problem solved, I guess. -- "Invalid argument" error with epson perfection 1200 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/43246 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
