If one tries to install couchdb through the repositories the
installation script seems to lack any dependencies as simply the couchdb
is reported to be installed. However, I am now manually installing
couchdb and I have needed to install spidermonkey icu and curl so far...

there is a need for another patch including mkdir -p

Yes, the notification bubble has been intentionally positioned at in the middle
of the right edge.
It has already has had a bug report filed which became invalid(can not find it
now). There apparently was complaints that the bubble covered the window
control icons.
