[Bug 120800] Re: at76c503a causes system freeze

I have tried Intrepid Ibex with kernel 2.6.27-9 but the at76_usb driver still freezes, however i have found a solution! :). It seems the 8.10 ships with 0.14beta1 at76 driver which is very old. The newer 0.17 works really well on 8.10 with a patch, see link. http://guide.ubuntuforums.org/showthrea

I found this guide how to patch and build at76_usb 0.17 driver for Intrepid Ibex, which works great: http://guide.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6531851#post6531851 It solves the bug report i wrote two years ago. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/atmel-firmware/+bug/120800 -- Update

I finally found out what was causing the crash, i have mixed in debian packages to get the latest and greatest apps, this is obviously not a good idea :-p I found under /usr/local/lib pygtk python2.4 python2.5 which was debris from a earlier debian package update, and apparently when upgrading

Can you recall which packages you had to install to get python2.4 to work? 2006/11/22, Lothar Braun <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Sorry, i don't have any more suggestions on how to track that problem. > Maybe someone else has an idea. > > -- > python2.4 crashes when i start alacarte > https://launchpad.n
