I'm having random freezes too, with Gnome and Compiz. They seemed to just
start recently, maybe around April 3rd like you said.
I thought it was related to Gnome-Do at first, because it always froze when
trying to bring up Gnome-Do. I removed that and still had the problem. So

So much for that theory, it's still doing the same thing.
Also... I actually get the same kind of dialog for any authenticating program.
I think it's related that it doesn't ask for my password on login... but I'm
not sure why it's doing that.

I played around with UXA in Karmic a bit... it hasn't frozen on me yet.

For a while now, I've been having X freezes with UXA. I can still move the
mouse, but nothing responds. If music is playing in Rhythmbox, it keeps
playing, but I think it stops after the current song. I have to do a hard

I'm using the same version and I think I have the same problem you're
talking about. If I restart Rhythmbox, it will fix it, though.
