So it's not vim. On the off chance it was, I switched to emacs22-gtk and
I'm still getting the same problems. I also discovered "xset r on",
which does wonders for me not having to click on menus to get key repeat
back (and demonstrates that key repeat really is an X thing rather than
a gnome thing

simply be user error on my part. I'll have to play with it a bit more to

As for the Kubuntu / Xubuntu conflict, that's really not a valid

After upgrading to Hardy, my Asus Z71V laptop started over-aggressively
dimming the brightness based on the built in light sensor. I could read

Since I got the same behavior with Armegatron Advanced, which was also
fixed when I installed libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio I think that this is
probably one libsdl bug rather than two bugs for specific games. I'm

minutes into pretty much any video I try to watch.

When I right click in the menu bar, tool bar, or bookmarks bar I get two
context menus (one looks to trigger on mouse down, the other on mouse

I've got an Asus Z71V laptop with a Marvell 88E8001 ethernet controller.
When I log in, nm-applet pops up an "I see a wired network" dialog and
then starts doing its connect animation. Then it gives up and shows a

The tool tips for the rotate tools (bottom left of the second toolbar) are
"Rotate selection 90° counter-clockwise."

When downloading videos using bittorrent I keep getting these "totem
crashed" dialogs when it tries to thumbnail incomplete files.
Edgy/AMD64. Apps crashing on invalid data files is a bad deal - I'm
always afraid there's a security issue.

don't work, install sane from source works great.
