Public bug reported:
I got Dell XPS laptop with integrated Dell 355 Bluetooth adapter. Bluetooth was
working fine until recently - I am not exactly sure which upgrade broken it. I
am running Kubuntu Intrepid with the latest packages (yesterday I upgraded to
KDE4.2) and
2.6.27-11-generic kernel
I guess it's the kernel problem with correct USB speed recognition,
because I have had this problem on different computers and linux versions.
My current ver. is Ubuntu 64bit 9.04.
Good example taken from my kern.log, notice first two lines:
This is no longer an issue.
Upgraded to Jaunty, and keeping all packages up-to-date, I just noticed
that as of today it is working fine.

I've been trying to find what's the problem whole day and I think
I found the solution/workaround.
You are pretty close, but
/usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/wireless does nothing in my case,
I only get the message in pm-powersave.log:
--
I forgot - I didn't study what pcie_aspm does but I guess it
tries to enable some power-saving on PCIE lanes.
I'm not sure we find what is the real cause of the problem,
it might be the poor hardware implementation in (my) Intel WiFi
card. With Broadcom WiFi card everything was just fine...
--
Y
Could you try this:
As root create empty file "pcie_aspm" with execute bit disabled
in /etc/pm/power.d folder.
This will prevent the PCIE lanes from entering into power-saving
mode which is implemented in the kernel but probably not fully tested.
It helped me - see bug #660746.

The problem was that my $HOME/.slrnfaces folder was full of remained
pipes which caused slrnface to fail and nothing was displayed. After
cleaning my .slrnfaces folder now it works again. Luca thanks for your
