Unfortunately, the bug is still present in 10.10 to this day (24.11.2010).
I have the Ubuntu installed on separate hardrive only for the purpose of testing whether the bug is still present. I installed all the current updates today and checked the bug, but no change in the behaviour. I unplugged the power cable, system disconnects the wifi and then crashes few seconds later.
