@Manjul Apratim I'll give them a try as soon as I realize how to use
them ;) But this is a workaround, not a fix, and since when you install
Ubuntu these (STA/wl) are the only driver
@Manjul I checked for brcmsmac, but it seems they only support the
broadcom 4313 and... ops... I discovered I wrote the wrong model of my
broadcom card. In fact I have a 4312 (which seems not supported by
brcmsmac), not a 4313... Sorry

broadcom 4313, it seems that the drivers in ubuntu 13.04 started giving this

I have the same problem in Ubuntu 13.04. Running sudo rescan-scsi-bus makes me
use the drive. Also in ubuntu 12.04 sometimes I noticed this problem, but in
Ubuntu 13.04 this problem is present all the time. I also noticed that
connecting it while using Win 7 and then reboot to ubuntu leaves the

properly. I don't know why, but I will run some tests and if I'll see
