Bug 62685 was about a problem with the hostap driver. That problem being
that it no longer works. This problem is not connected to that one.
There is something in common, though. In order to get the hostap driver
to drive the hardware, orinoco must be blacklisted. However, once
orinoco (and prism2)

Actually, while the problem occurs less frequently, it does still happen
from time to time. I'm not sure what triggers it, but eventually,
windows no longer map in X and sudo hangs indefinitely (for example, I
can't do "sudo reboot", because I sudo never asks me for a password).

So why not just use /bin/bash? On any system where /bin/bash doesn't

Oh, BTW, I've noticed that the Thinkpad hardware may need a cold boot to
operate properly. I'm not sure why this is, but sometimes if I just
reboot (via System/Quit.../Reboot), the wireless can't connect, so I
have to actually shut down and press the power button to start it up
again.

This is going to be fairly common with a lot of wireless chipsets. High
traffic (approaching the theoretical limit of the wireless medium) is
going to require the host processor to do more work because most of the
driver is actually implemented in software. For example, on my laptop I
have a prism2

Yeah, it looks like this line is the problem:
url.Append ("&attach=" + tmp_path);
in SendEmail.cs
I looked up the source from the latest in

and the code is substantially changed in the
BTW: I haven't had a chance to test this in feisty yet. I can only
confirm that this happens in edgy.
