I'm having the same problem with my Palm m150 connected via USB (using
Intrepid on an eee pc 901). I had no problem getting it to work in Hardy
on my old notebook, and it's definitely not a hardware/usb problem

I just had this issue with intrepid alpha 6 (32 bit), on an Eee Pc 901.
I sent the device to standby and back without a problem, and tried
hibernate afterwards. I predictably failed with the message "PM: Cannot
find swap device, try swapon -a.", which is completely ok, but then did
not return to an

I guess dmesg won't show anything extra useful after the reboot, so I
have attached part of /var/log/messages instead, I have copied the
entire content of /var/log to a temp directory in case you need other
information from there later. The log contains a few suspends/wakeups,

I just tried out the patch. It apparently refers to an older version of
the source file if I interpret the output from patch correctly, but it
was applied fine and resolves the issue for me.

i.e. the error was ignored and did not prevent the package from being

addition to the processes shown in the attached file, things like dpkg and
defoma-app were popping up with high CPU load when I looked at top, and the
general system load was very high (firefox

Unfortunately I don't know any steps that lead to the bug occuring and
it only happened once. From the generated bug report I'd take a wild
guess and say that hald died for some reason, and that gpm relied on it
for its data, but stopping hald does not seem to impede the
functionality of the panel
