Public bug reported:
I've bought ThinkPad T14s with a USB-based docking station. Everything
is working marvelously, but from time to time the ethernet port on the
docking station won't connect. I've discovered the following messages in
my dmesg:
[ 400.597506] r8152 5-1.1:1.0 enx482ae3a2a6f0: Tx
Finally, powering the notebook off (which seemingly also powered the
docking station off) then on after a couple of seconds seem to be
working as a workaround - the network works perfectly while the computer
is turned on.

Bu
I need to correct myself: the card stopped working out of the blue and
started to print Tx status -71 to dmesg. So the statement "network works
perfectly while the computer is turned on" is not true.
Excerpt from the dmesg:
[11284.014421] audit: type=1400 audit(1617704946.490:148): apparmor="DENI
Interestingly, the card does not seem to act as an USB device, but
rather as a PCI device. That's weird, since the card is located on a
docking station which is connected to the computer via USB. I guess this
is because Thunderbolt-over-USB or similar?
~> lspci|grep -i eth
02:00.0 Ethernet control
BUT the Network Manager says "USB Ethernet" for the docking station
ethernet port, so perhaps the PCI device refers to the ethernet "dongle"
which can be attached to the computer? Yes: Network Manager says "PCI
Ethernet Connected" when I plug the cable into the dongle.
Found it:
~> lsusb -t|grep
I've seen comments regarding using usbcore.quirks; I'll try

I have switched to the Hybrid mode. Now the only session available is
the Xorg-based session; About dialog shows that the Intel® HD Graphics
530 (Skylake GT2) is now being used. Could it be that it is not
compatible with Wayland?
Anyway, attaching the lspci -k of the Hybrid mode. In the hybrid mod
Thanks. I know Wayland+KMS doesn't work with NVIDIA proprietary.
However, I don't use NVIDIA proprietary drivers and I don't have them
installed and I don't want to use Wayland on NVIDIA proprietary. Thus,
your conclusion is not right.
When I enable "Hybrid" mode in BIOS, I believe that both VGA c
Thanks for the info on Hybrid mode - really nice! However, what I'd like
is to run Ubuntu+Wayland on my Intel card only. So, I don't want to run
it in hybrid mode, I don't want to run it on NVIDIA proprietary, just on
the Intel card. KDE Plasma+Wayland runs fine and uses Intel only; GDM3
forces me
I believe this is a bug in GDM3 detection algorithm which incorrectly
disables Wayland support on a system which runs just fine with Wayland.

Thank you for your responses, and I apologize if I sounded rude - I
didn't meant to.
I rebooted in the hybrid mode and added the abovementioned lines into
/etc/environment, unfortunately the /tmp/mutterlogs file is not created.
There are other files though:
$ ls -la /tmp/mutter*
-rw--- 1 gdm
Correction: *those two cards are not completely separate but need to
cooperate somehow (since Intel's connected to the panel while Nvidia's
connected to HDMI, but they need to cooperate, for example when Intel
needs to draw over HDMI when an external monitor is connected)

Public bug reported:
Since yesterday upgrade to 49.0.2623.87 Ubuntu 15.10 (64-bit), some of
our developer web pages started to behave weirdly - login forms not
completing normally, etc. Those very web pages work fine with Firefox.
Finally, one webpage stated outright that the Cookies are disabled.
When I launch Chromium via the command-line, only the following line is
printed out:
[21563:21603:0323/160009:ERROR:connection_factory_impl.cc(367)] Failed
to connect to MCS endpoint with error -102
I do not know whether this relates to the cookie problem or not.
