for my encryption passphrase at boot. After reading over comments by
other people in those bugs, I've noticed that my initrd does not contain
a file "conf/conf.d/cryptroot". This file seems to be what tells the
initrd which de
ha-HA! The problem seems to be that underscore is no longer a valid
character for the device name. I changed "sda2_crypt" to "root" and
everything works beautifully!
Now for the bad part. What the heck happened here?! WHY did "sda2_crypt"
stop being a valid target name? That name was picked for my

(/dev/sda2) early during the boot process, and once it was opened my

Even after updating for the package fix referred to in bug #287879 my
issue is still not fixed. I could really use some help debugging this!

xserver-xorg-1.3.0 and xrandr-1.2 hit gutsy sometime yesterday. I've
deleted my xorg.conf and successfully started gdm! This is pretty
exciting :-D
Only problem so far is that it didn't auto-recognize my synaptics
touchpad, it loaded the regular mouse driver. I'll file another bug for

I agree that the up/down implication of those button images is wrong.
Minimize is NOT always down - I always move my window list to the top
panel first thing after setting up a new computer. This would also be
wrong for someone who likes a vertical panel.

I am also affected by this problem. I just replaced a POS wheel mouse
that moved nicely with a Logitech M705 laser mouse. The laser sensor
naturally reports movement data a lot more often per inch of real mouse
movement than the wheel mouse did. The mouse driver should have taken
that into account

I'll second the high priority proposal seeing as maven currently doesn't
work in Karmic at all. There's a dependency version mismatch with
libplexus - see bug 417164.
Also note that bug 427539 is a request for a sync with debian unstable,
since they currently have maven 2.2 in the repository.
