On an xps 1330, I had previously solved the problem by removing
"blacklist video" from /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist (as suggested by a
previous comment).
After upgrading to 2.6.27-8, the problem does not appear, even when I
put back "blacklist video".

Testing the new kernels on a Dell XPS 1330:
- linux-image-2.6.27-9 in -updates still has the problem
- linux-image-2.6.27-10 in -proposed does NOT have the problem (like 2.6.27-8,
also in proposed)

difference. Without the workarounds, brightness increases twice at each

Clarifications:
- this bug affects me only when recording through pulseaudio. If I kill
pulseaudio and record directly through alsa it works fine (using both
gnome-sound-recorder and skype).
- it is NOT a skype-specific bug. The same problem exists with gnome-
sound-recorder when recording throug

Indeed, truncating ~/.recently-used.xbel solved the problem so it looks

In the gtk gui of vim you can scroll the window using the mouse wheel.
Scrolling is fast and smooth. However, if you open the "open file"

I just want to add that this is *not* specific to mouse wheel scroll.
Scrolling with the keyboard has the same effect and in general vim's

Also, the same thing happens with the "save as" window, but *not* with

I had almost the exact issue described in this bug (the only exception
being that in my case the internal keyboard was slow no matter what),
and it was completely fixed after the macOS 10.12.4 update.

This problem is still present in lucid when using imagemagick (and I

To reproduce

- install the 'imagemagick' package
- run 'convert' without any argument. The
