This affects me too. And I'm guessing it affects almost everyone. But
then why aren't there a million duplicates to this bug? Please fix this,
it makes Ubuntu look unprofessional. Just a minor annoyance, but an
annoyance just the same.

time I boot Apport reports the kernel error 2-4 times (maybe the double

I have the same problem and tried both this:
"I noticed the bug #847782 and removed the "auto eth0" entry from my
/etc/network/interfaces."

I can confirm that this is fixed for me too. However since it is still
happening for illumilore I think that my bug was actually bug 881079
instead. Bug 881079 is fixed with the new upstart update. There are also
several other similar (or maybe duplicate??) bugs to this one: bug
876449, bug 858122
Also still getting this. Should I open a new bug report? It seems to be
the same problem.

This happened to me the first time I tried it. When I removed the
invisible icon and tried again it didn't work any more. Now I can not
add the terminal at all any more.
