I've got a "Lexar Professional Workflow XR1" CF card reader that
supports USB3, and has worked fine for regular JPG/CR2 images (sizes up
to about 20 MB), but when I tried some videos (which were 170MB and up),
the copy would fail around midway with "Error Splicing File:

jsalisbury, I tried the 4.4.0-040400rc3 kernel, but it never found my
harddrive (it gave up waiting for root device, couldn't find it by uuid,
dropped me to ash/initramfs, couldn't even use my usb keyboard so had to
long-press power to reboot). Does this warrant a new bug, or are there

When I select some package and click "write your own review" , I get up
a window that loads for a bit and then says "can't sign in", with no
mention of why, or how to fix it.

I may have the same issue on my Lenovo Thinkpad X200 with an Intel 5300
wifi card.
With 13.10, wireless was fine, with 14.04 it disconnects a lot or ssh
connections will "hang" for several seconds.
I've tried
echo "options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1" | sudo tee
/etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf

Suspend on lid close has been working fine for me up until some recent

In my case, I had previously had these lines in my
/etc/systemd/logind.conf to make lid suspend work in 13.10:
HandleLidSwitch=ignore
LidSwitchIgnoreInhibited=no
After upgrading to 14.04, lid suspend only worked after _removing_ those
lines.

Note: when upgrading to 12.10, it tries to remove XFCE from the list and
add MATE (though asks you whether to accept the change). So I'm guessing
this bug is still open.

bbdb-anniv.el is missing, so (require 'bbdb-anniv) etc. fails. It's in
the orig tarball at
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/b/bbdb/bbdb_2.36.orig.tar.gz
so it seems odd that it should not be included in the bbdb package.

today.

Note: this exists upstream in the debian package too. A temporary workaround is
to get the newest dictionaries from

over the bad files like this:
