* Thinkpad X220 with a fairly fast SSD where copying always seems to work just fine on all three usb ports (where one is "blue" USB 3) * Ideacentre A740 with a slow SSHD where copying sometimes fails, especially with large video files, and all ports seem to be USB 3 * HP Spectre x360 with a fast SSD where copying always fails even with "small" (20M) files, as long as I copy several files at once (copying one, then waiting, then copying another seems to work fairly well) – haven't tried videos yet. I can workaround the problem by using a USB 2 cable instead of the Lexar-supplied USB 3 cable. I've tried upgrading the Spectre to the HWE kernel (4.8.0-39-generic), which made no difference. I've tried putting usbcore.autosuspend=-1 usbcore.autosuspend_delay_ms=-1 in grub, which made no difference. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1520988 Title: Copy of large files from USB3 card reader fails mid-way To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1520988/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
