I suspect that this is an overall issue with LibreOffice 3.6 in a GNOME- based desktop environment (tested in Unity and GNOME Shell). I forgot to mention that I was having the same issue with CUPS 1.5.2 and Kyocera printers (specifically, the FS-3900DN, FS-4000DN, and FS- C5030N), all while using KPDL and other Foomatic/PostScript drivers. The PPDs were not exactly recent -- about six years old (the ones from the Kyocera website)
