Reopening this bug. It still happens, actually it has happened a lot
since I thought the problem was gone.
Usually when I start my computer, the first time I open Akregator from

I am running up-to-date Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex with KDE 4.1. Akregator
(version 1.2.50) works quite well in all other regards, but it does not
remember its size when closed and restarted (or restored from the system
tray, resized, minimized to the tray and then again restored).
Same here. It worked fine with KDE 3.5.9 in Hardy, but after upgrading
to Intrepid and KDE 4.1 it crashes nearly every time I resume from
suspend. The machine in question is a Lenovo ThinkPad X60s. The

Strange. This bugged me for three days, even across restarts, but after

Actually, disabling DRI did help.
Sorry about that, I didn't realise I needed to put a 'Disable "dri"' in
my xorg.conf, instead I just commented out everything that said DRI in
it.

The same problem here, with a Thinkpad X60s. I can see log messages in
/var/log/acpid when I press sleep or hibernate buttons, but the machine
does nothing. Suspend works when executed from the Logout menu.

OK, I found a Xorg.0.log.old that seems to have a modification time
around the time the bug manifested.
I'm not quite sure if it's a good idea to revert back to alpha versions.

I have been experiencing the same kind of crashes with my Kubuntu
Oneiric installs. I am using kdm instead of lightdm, but the crash seems
very much alike. I will attach a kdm.log. Please let me know if there is
anything I can do to help!

Some more information.
I can reproduce the crash always in the following way:
1) Boot the machine.
2) Log in to KDE. Everything works, including 3d effects.
3) Log out of KDE. KDM starts.
4) Log back in -> X crashes, KDM restarts immediately.
5) Log in again -> KDE disables 3d effects and allows
