As a part of my job involves heavy backend development on web systems, which
are usually accessible via FTP, this would be a feature I would really like
to see enter Nautilus.

Lazza, it was certainly a very simple fix. I've recently started using
gwibber, but noticed the font issue. For a very minor change, it
certainly improves the aesthetics of the application and makes it mesh
more wit
Further to this, it appears the front output volume is reset to 0 and
muted upon each start-up (possibly by the new volume control applet).

On Karmic the new Sound Preferences window gives no option to adjust the
'Front' audio output volume (front headphone jack) which was available
in Jaunty. To fix this I had to open 'alsamixer' from the command line
and unmute then increase the volume of the 'Front' audio outpu
Note that this was an upgrade from Jaunty to Karmic, so perhaps the
default in a fresh Karmic installation has this volume setting unmuted
and set to high.
Also note that after setting this in alsamixer, the global volume
controls do work to after general output volume, but there no way of
directl

nvidia-331-updates (proprietary)' under the 'Additional Drivers' tab of

problem for me.
It is possible that the initial removal of the 'evolution-indicator'
package changed configuration in such a way as to correct the problem
regardless of the evolution-indicator package's installation state.

restarted. After this the layout issues are resolved, but this is
obviously just a work around.
