As a side note, I downloaded the .dsc and the Ubuntu 12.04 source package and notices that the readline62_001 patch found on the GNU Readline FTP site is included in the current build as the patch readline62_001.diff. So, I think it is just a matter of including the readline62_002, readline62_003,
