System updated to 44.0.2 around noon today (Eastern time - NY) . Drop-
down menus (Joomla 3 website, mootools-based menu) stopped working both
on Windows (7) and Ubuntu VM hosted Firefox. Menus work perfectly on
Chrome, MSIE and Edge (on Win-10)

Update: The author (AriSoft) of the menu extension on which the subject
menu was built suggested a one-line change in the CSS for the menu,
which has restored the normal functionality of the menu in Firefox and
as had no apparent impact on its function in other browsers. At this
point, I don't know
