i still think that it doesnt look good, and is kinda unnecessary to
have five icons that look completely identical. i think there should

what the hell? i thought this was supposed to be fixed in intrepid!
one of the things that gnome was bragging about their 2.24 release is that they
fixed the bug in the screenshot tool that failed to capture window decorators
when a compositor was enabled.

hmm, thats strange. thats what happened to me. and i was even using 10.4
i put in the ubuntu live cd and when i tried to backup some files, i couldnt
unless i entered the right password and stuff, and then i only had access to
the public folder. that was my experience, i didnt read about it anywhe

my hard drive. i left, and when i came back, my computer was in sleep
mode. when i woke it up, the file operation box and progress bar wasnt

like in gnome-themes-extras for example) do not have a suspend icon. the
only theme that does is the human icon theme, and that icon looks ugly
as hell. i liked the alternatively colored power sign much better.

i consider this important, medium fits it perfectly, because anyone who
boots up ubuntu will notice the ugly stretchyness, and widescreen
monitors are the most common kind of monitor nwadays, and it just doesnt
make SENSE for usplash to not support them!

look, i dont know what those gnome developers are smoking down there,
but i want some. just look at my attached screenshot. nobody WANTS their
icons to overlap like that, okay? thats just disgusting! your computer
should be automatically organized neatly so that you can focus and find
and do things
...and, when i insert a dvd, some flash drives, and an sd card, they
should all NOT be in the exact same place on the screen! x_x

this is a bug in firefox. its not specific to ubuntu. it happens on mac
and windows too.
whats happening is the flash app is intercepting the keyboard strokes,
so if you press ctrl+w when youre interacting with a flash applet, the
keyboard command will be sent to the flash applet, but not firefox.
hey, this only happens to me in ubuntu. on mac or fail-dows it doesnt
happen.
