this is a bug in firefox. its not specific to ubuntu. it happens on mac and windows too.
whats happening is the flash app is intercepting the keyboard strokes, so if you press ctrl+w when youre interacting with a flash applet, the keyboard command will be sent to the flash applet, but not firefox. i went on my mac to see if this happens in safari, and safari closes the tab even if flash content is selected. apparently, soneone better let the mozilla people know about this, because they're the ones who are supposed to fix this, not ubuntu. -- Firefox cannot close tab (using Ctrl-w) when flash content is selected on page https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263435 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
