and will play audio. I then started to try out extensions, the Karaoke
extension will cause Banshee to freeze right there, and will no longer

All I had to do to trigger the behavior was set "mode-mouse on" in tmux

I gave it (the rebuilt eglibc) a go, and it appears to solve the issue.
Haven't noticed any side-effects, either.

Out of curiosity, why does this need an FFE? Banshee is at version 1.9.5
in Ubuntu right now, which is a 2.0 development release. It's not a
major version upgrade, just fixing bugs seen in the development
releases.

Haven't tried this one myself, but the 270.18 driver lists 1.10 support.
It's a beta driver, fwiw.

I'm going to work on this issue soon, but the changes that I'll be
making might be a little too invasive for a stable update in Maverick,
so this update may have to wait until 11.04. I'll see how it works when
it's fixed, though. :)

Felix: As has been stated, IgnoreABI causes a crash; the driver simply
isn't compatible. There's a reason you need to add that line manually,
you know. ;)
