I have tried several ways to install the proprietry driver and always
had to revert to the radeon driver.
The radeon driver works good, but I thought i could reduce power
consumption with my laptop.
It seems that people succeded in installing version 13.1 catalyst with HD 31
this is one of the worst bugs I ever had in ubuntu. Think of all the
users who rely on their linux machines. Solution is to delay dist-
upgrades for non experts in future. Bad !

akonadi seems to kill kmail in other situations too. I have one
installation 4.7.1 where kmail hangs while writing emails or sending
them or 'touching' the adress field.
If the user(1) logs out and uses ssh -Y user1@localhost kmail from
another user2 session it seems that these hangups don't occur
I'm affraid it's not fixed yet for mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.58, for
debian-linux-gnu (x86_64).

I don't use Xen, the tg3 driver or something else produces this error, too.
Yesterday I have found out that disabling AND reenabling checksum validation
with
'sudo ethtool -K eth0 tx off rx off; sudo ethtool -K eth0 tx on rx on' fixes
the error, too!

I did a new install of 8.04 LTS a few month ago. After that the bug was

I have a similar/same error with a lenovo s10e and ubuntu 8.10: it uses the tg3
driver for the fast ethernet device:
connecting with ssh to the netbook and starting firefox or other big
application in this shell, produces an

the local network with a print server). The printer does not always
eject blank pages, it simply forgets to print the text.

I removed some duplicate entries from the list. Then I did a
Settings->Keyboard->Add (German), ->Remove USA.
Seems as if I have a German keyboard layout under Gnome now. So I think this
could be called solved.
Strange thing was that I could no longer check the Default Radiobutton

minimal or off. When I looked into "Systemueberwachung" I found that a

Hope the information below helps. I still cannot get a German keyboard
layout with gnome. In a tty all works well, but not within the GUI.

Why RUN_DIR=${RESOLVCONF_RUNDIR:=/var/run}? Didn't you mean
/var/run/resolvconf?

Good catch, will give it a try.
Of course, /lib/udev/rules.d/65-dmsetup.rules isn't a conffile, so changes to
it will be lost when the dmsetup package gets upgraded.
(Also, this symlink rule isn't in lucid. On the other hand I didn't upgrade
any of the machines showing this problem to lucid yet

Here's a simple test plug-in. It just builds a stack from 3 constant
values. With the attached version, you'll get errors in /var/log/munin
/munin-graph.log:

While doing snapshots for backups I also this occasionally among the
other errors:
