I am not sure if that is really a problem with KDE itself, because for
me this bug appeared only after I upgraded to Ubuntu 13.10.
Anyway, here is a workaround: the inverse search works fine for me if
the "Browse" tool is selected, and fails to work if one selects "Zoom"
or "Selection".

I've upgraded ubuntu on my laptop from 12.04 to 12.10. After that i
noticed this bug several times.
Ocasionaly Cpu usage of process /usr/bin/X ... reaches 20% level or more
and all the system dehaves sluggishly.
I 've created Xorg config manualy using $sudo Xorg -configure.
