I can confirm this as of 4:00pm PST Oct 5. Not only does it not keep the
settings but if you set a static IP in
/etc/network/interfaces then /etc/resolv.conf seem to break as well as in no
name resolution.
Can you please add this driver to Karmic. I just had a go around with a
customer who had Jaunty and couldn't understand why the drive was there
for Jaunty and yet a new version of Ubuntu didn't have it. Yes I did
explain that Karmic was beta and no I didn't install it, they did it on
their own.

We are seeing udevd high cpu usage from the last couple of days.
It is consistently 30% to 70%, generally hovering around 60%. It seems to
change whenever an application is
started or stopped but always returns to about 50-60%.

You can download the driver from the manufacturer, compile and install
it. It works. Pretty unfriendly IMHO. I have no idea why this
regression happened, shouldn't have.

Latest Karmic i386 updates to 2009-10-13 Nautilus cd burner will burn
one copy but fail to burn a second one. Brasero does the same thing.
Once a dvd is burned it will not recognize a new blank dvd.

Running Karmic with updates to 2009-10-14 I can write one DVD then
Brasero will fail on the second one with the following log: Logout and
back in and burn one iso.

but then not recognize a disk has been inserted. Then when I actually
do get it to work it won't finalize properly. For example if I want to

As of this morning Saturday, Oct 3 10:57am PST this bug still exists.
I have had anywhere from 0 to 57% packet loss on pings after a restore
from suspend and it still counts down from 99 to about 2ms, resets back
to 99ms and counts down. Sometimes it hangs.
