This crash occurs repeatably whenever you add a font, system-wide or in
the user's ~/.fonts folder. It does not necessarily have anything to do
with updates of OpenOffice itself.
Users are seeing this crash during updates *of non-openoffice packages*
when the package being installed registers font

that the username text is one pixel higher than the clock text.

After the latest round of updates, the card is recognized as an
RTL-8129, but the kernel still doesn't load a driver for it. The card is
still not recognized as a network device.
lspci -v now says:

I noticed that both instances of epiphany had both the mplayer and totem
video plugins, thought maybe they were fighting. I removed the totem
plugin on one machine and the mplayer plugin on the other with no effect
on the problem.

Disconnecting, then reconnecting the camera gives only one of the gthumb
dialogs (the one with three buttons). The dual dialog spawning only
seems to happen when first connecting the camera. I haven't been able to
duplicate it since.

After running 'sudo invoke-rc.d networking stop', I can open epiphany
without the hang. So to summarize, Epiphany hangs in the following
situations:
o The network is up and epiphany is started
o Epiphany is running and the network is started
Again, CPU usage is normal during the hang.

I got to thinking that this is a network problem, since this is
obviously not a widespread bug. I figured maybe epiphany was doing a
network request that was taking a long time. Bingo!

One dialog is definitely meant for mass-storage cameras, and one is

Double-click the attached PDF file, then try to select some text using
the mouse. Crash.
Don't actually try to read the PDF file, or your brain might also crash.

A "zero-open-port" policy is generally a good thing, but Avahi/MDNS
services are beginning to be *expected* by users. I fully expected Avahi
to be on by default in Edgy for workstation installations.
Case in point - I impressed a couple of Mac users by showing them that
my Ubuntu installation's Rh
I can confirm this on Dapper with xorg, xcompmgr and nvidia proprietary
driver.

I've confirmed this bug now on two up-to-date Dapper machines, and there
are no outstanding requests for information to warrant the NEEDINFO

I am affected by this when first logging into GNOME after a fresh boot.
As soon as the desktop appears I get two (sometimes three) overlapping
'Unlock keyring' dialog boxes. I have to cancel them both and manually
select my network, after which the unlock dialog reappears (once this

I've gotten this as well - it appears to be an empty context menu that
somehow doesn't get destroyed.
To see what I mean, uncheck 'enable wireless' in the right-click menu of
nm-applet, then left click the nm-applet. You'll see a tiny square
appear - it's the empty network list context menu. Somet
