I welcome the switch to libata, however since I have device names in
crypttab, it did leave me dumb-founded for a while (just where did my
home go?) so I'd wish it would warn people that their IDE drives will

I installed the security update of today. After that, the kernel fails to mount
/ with
Begin waiting for root filesystem (or something like that, hard if you can't
copy paste ;)
This is on a Toshiba Portege M200 notebook
Commenting out kopt (with ##) and having grub use UUID instead of
devices names doesn't help.
What however did help was downgrading the kernel to the one in edgy
(instead edgy security) AND installing a working initramfs image from
another machine so I'm beginning to think there's initramfs image

Thanks, that works for me just fine in console mode (I reinstalled cryptsetup

immediately after suspending (or more appropriately, I dont think it actually
suspends, as the suspend LED doesnt ever go on).

Is cryptsetup perhaps being loaded and sent to the background detached
from the console? If I boot the kernel without splash I see it
complaining about not being able to read the password. It definitely
