Suspend to ram does not work at all with 2.6.17 for me on a toshiba Portege
M200. Suspend to disk sometimes works (more often it just crashes the machine).
Suspend to ram worked reliably on 2.6.15 and if I force install a Dapper kernel
on edgy it starts working again!

With an up-to-date Dapper, Epiphany starts up, shows its window, then
freezes for 10 to 15 seconds. During that time, window contents are not
painted and I can see the desktop through the window frame. Dragging the

I noticed that both instances of epiphany had both the mplayer and totem
video plugins, thought maybe they were fighting. I removed the totem
plugin on one machine and the mplayer plugin on the other with no effect
on the problem.

Interesting!
Disconnecting, then reconnecting the camera gives only one of the gthumb
dialogs (the one with three buttons). The dual dialog spawning only
seems to happen when first connecting the camera. I haven't been able to
duplicate it since.

After running 'sudo invoke-rc.d networking stop', I can open epiphany
without the hang. So to summarize, Epiphany hangs in the following
situations:
o The network is up and epiphany is started
o Epiphany is running and the network is started
Again, CPU usage is normal during the hang.

print to the photo tray successfully!
However, I cannot get it to print without a margin. gnome-photo-printer

I have tried several combinations of settings with DigiKam and it will
not print photos in the correct orientation without a margin. gnome-
photo-printer prints the 4x6in. photos correctly to the photo tray of my
HP PhotoSmart 7760 thanks to cups
After more trial and error, I was able to get gnome-photo-printer to
print without any margins. digiKam still has trouble, but perhaps
that's a separate bug. I think this bug can be safely closed now.

Noticed the same thing, now you can't use nautilus to find files by name
anymore.
Instead of an option to disable tracker search in Nautilus, it would be
much better to mix search results from tracker and the old search
method. Or rather, have tracker index file names, and have an obvious

will list you what processes use the sound hardware.

Another thing: with 2.6.22-13 and either alsa-driver-1.0.15rc3 or rc1, resume
from suspend to RAM stopped working for me on my Latitude D830. With
2.6.22-12 it at least worked with rc1...

It's not that sound stops (I had that, can deal with it) but resume doesn't
work at all. All I see is a yellow "Linu" on the screen (near the top), not
even Crtl-Alt-Delete helps after that. Only hard reset.

I changed my default color depth to 16 (instead of 24) in xorg.conf, to
work around another xunbuntu/xfce/xorg bug which crashes the x server
when you open the xfce terminal. It seems to have also resolved this
problem.

Seeing that not working sound on the Dell's may well be a PR disaster (I'm
still not sure if the Ubuntu pre-loaded Inspiron 1420 is affected or not,
some say their's is,
module-assistant on 2.6.22-14 gives sound on D830, but only through notebook,
not through docking station and hooking up phones doesn't deactivate speakers
as reported by others.

elyk: I did build 2.6.23 for myself, and did not get sound even upon first
boot. The alsa version it ships with seems broken, too. As for ipw3945 not
working, that's because stock kernel doesn't ship the required drivers,
Ubuntu thankfully adds them for their releases.
