On a fresh install of Ubuntu 19.04, when I copy files using nautilus
there is not progress bar.

Mine is actually one of those hybrid Nvidia/Intel cards now that I think
about it. The Nvidia is active only when 3d is used so in reality it is
probably the Intel card driver having issues, I had forgotten that it
was a hybrid.

I tried reading the help to see if I there is a verbose mode but there
is none. I did 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' as suggested
and it brought me here.

Hi,
I have the same problem. To make the window get focused just press the
bar. The checkbox will be enabled and you will have control of the
window again. You can disable the checkbox and continue.

I can confirm the patched libnm-openvpn-properties.so file provided by
fralk in comment #11 fixed the the problem I am/was experiencing on
14.04.

This bug affects me also,
but somehow up to now only under heavy CPU load, sometimes clicking into the
DASH search bar.
Cursor moves, no clicks, only frozen screen.

I started the upgrade manager (11.04 to 11.10) and had to stop during
the "Getting new packages" part. I then later on re-started the process
and libimobiledevice2 was upgradable, so I decided to upgrade it before
finishing the system upgrade. Bad choice as now the system upgr

$ sudo do-release-upgrade -p
Although I get this:

if the system needs a special version then why not just create a
/usr/bin/python.system that points to the correct version and all of
ubuntu's scripts use that, and /usr/bin/python points to
/etc/alternatives/python which points to the version set by the user?
