This issue is no longer present on the 8.10, however, my company policy is to only install Long Term Support version of Ubuntu. Anyway, the 8.10 have other problems related to Wifi and Suspend/Resume that make that version unusable. Other Linux distributions all have serious set of issues, but all

After upgrading to the latest beta 9.04 through update-manager, the problem reappeared again. After the boot process, the screen remains black. It doesn't go the a fail safe mode... In the recovery mode, using xfix doesn't anything. Using a root shell and invoking "startx", the screen remains bl
